Hotel Shambala

The perfect place to unwind after a tiring trek in the mountains! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the loveliest staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warmth and hospitality were exceptional throughout our entire visit. A special mention goes to the staff at the restaurant and rooftop bar, who were absolutely incredible and made us feel so well looked after. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. Housekeeping was excellent, with our rooms cleaned daily. The pool was also perfect and the food from the hotel restaurant was some of the best I’ve had during my stay in Nepal. Located just a 15–20-minute drive from Thamel, the hotel offered the perfect balance of convenience and tranquillity, allowing us to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close to everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and recharge after our trek. Thank you to the entire team at Hotel Shambala for such a wonderful stay. We would absolutely stay here again!

The staff were kind and professional, the room was spacious and well appointed, and the rooftop pool and bar area had spectacular views. Oh, and the breakfast selection was excellent, catering for a range of tastes.

There are renovations causing some daytime disturbances, but staff ingormed me on my arrival.

Very friendly staff, great spaces, and delicious food.

Location poor as it is on a busy main road, away from the tourist area and the airport Swimming pool was green with algae, possibly due to poor filteration.
