The atmosphere was charming and the ambience very warm and cozy.
Had to have the windows cracked but I am hot anyway. So can’t really say it’s a negative.

Beautiful historic property. We had an incredible room by the canal with windows opening directly onto the quiet canal and bridge. We had a triple and our friends had a quadruple on the 3rd floor with an incredible dormer roof. The staff was lovely and kind. Little touches such as a box of delicious chocolate and little candy on the pillows escalated the entire experience. The property has a gezillig bar area, lounge and a lovely garden area. The location was walking distance to the heart of town without being full of tourists. Highly recommended!
The entire experience was lovely- there really wasn't anything that we disliked. We parked at a parking lot a couple of blocks away as we didn't reserve a spot in advance at the hotel. Only recommendation would be that the hotel communicate the need to reserve parking at booking.

Excellent breakfast (at level with the canal), beautiful view and very welcoming staff (they allowed us to store our bicycles in the garden). 5 min walk to the center.

I chose this hotel as I read good reviews about the kindness of the staff, the care for details - that I did not find
Staff - on my arrival, when I entered the room , a guy from maintenance was sent to my room to fix something in the bathroom. He said he was going to be quick - he started drilling with such a loud noice that we had to leave the room. I went downstairs and complained and told the manager that I want him to leave the room and do it when we were out( as it should be..). The manager replied to me with a tone of voice as if she was making fun of me. this person did not leave the room for 30 mins - and after a long trip we had to stay in our room waiting for him to fix the bath
Care of details - as a 4 stars hotel I had higher expectations and I did not see much care of details . Our little table was wabbling - one pillow had a stain, one light was not working and other little details
