Parkhotel Graz - Traditional Luxury

A lovely hotel in an excellent location. We particularly appreciated the convenient parking in the inner courtyard. The bed was very comfortable, with lovely bedding and comfortable pillows — we slept wonderfully. The delicious breakfast was a great start to the day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

One disappointing aspect of my stay was losing my earphones around the time of check-in. The Find My app indicated their location around the reception area and my room, which was directly above it. I understand that this information cannot pinpoint the exact room or floor, but by the time I reached my room, I no longer had the earphones with me. Later, I asked to speak to the front office manager and have the CCTV footage checked to establish whether I still had my earphones during check-in, whether I had left them on the reception desk, or whether they had fallen out somewhere on the way to my room. I was told that there were no cameras in the reception area. I would have appreciated greater involvement from the staff and clearer guidance on how they could help with the search. The handling of this situation left me disappointed and somewhat overshadowed an otherwise very pleasant stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location, making it perfect for exploring the city. The staff is very friendly and polite, with a special shoutout to Petar at breakfast for his exceptional service. Despite the room facing the street, the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a completely quiet and peaceful stay.

There were no slippers in the room and a lack of basic bathroom amenities, which is a downside for a hotel of this level.

We had a wonderful stay (6 nights), perfect location in walking distance to the old town, tram station almost in front of the hotel, large, very quiet rooms, excellent breakfast buffet. The in-house made cakes are fabulous, and the wellness area is great. A particular highlight is the gourmet restaurant „Zur goldenen Birn“, we had a dinner there that was truly outstanding, the restaurant has really lived up to the expectations created by its standing in the Guide Michelin and Gault&Millaud. The staff was very competent and friendly.

The only negative point was it’s erratic internet connection, which was not up to the standard of the hotel.

It is a very beautiful hotel and it is well maintained and clean. The pool and spa facilites are excellent.

I felt like the staff in the restaurant and those in charge of the breakfast were not very well trained. They were not very helpful nor were they particularly friendly. While this is typical of customer service in Austria, this is one area where the hotel could up its game in order to compete with other hotels.
