Hanedan Hotel

Staff was very very courteous. They helped us take luggage up 2 flights of stairs. There's no elevator. The facility is about 800m from the Havaist bus stop at Catladikapi (sultanahmet stop). But the walk from bus stop to hotel was not very straightforward. It is mostly cobbled stones with some portions involving height. So your luggage might take a hit. Lucky for us luggage didn't break. The facility is literally walking distance (slightly uphill walk) to major attractions of sultanahmet like Blue Mosque, Aya sophia, topkapi palace. You can walk to the T1 tram station which connects most of the tourist attractions. They served complimentary Mediterranean breakfast, same menu everyday, on rooftop of hotel right infront of them. The view of Bosephorous was breathtaking from the roof. Room was good and spacious. They provided room cleaning facility everyday which was a big help considering our tight schedules.

The toilet seat had some issue with the bidet spray. It wasnt working. To be honest, we didn't complain and made other arrangements to save time. The bed was a bit loose and was squeaking. We didn't complain about that either. Overall location of the hotel is good for siteseeing but food and basic groceries options are very expensive given touristy area.

Best breakfast ever- superb wide array of food for all tastes, which changed on a daily basis. I've travelled to 42 countries and thought it was outstanding...I've never found better. The staff, from the cleaner right up to the Manager, were lovely, friendly and very welcoming. I was a lone female traveller and felt well-looked after. I decided to splash out and use their cab service. It was punctual and completely took the stress out of travel. The location couldn't be more central and gave magnificent views over the old town and Bosphorus, which is only 2 minutes walk away.

The location was excellent; within walking distance of the sites to be visited. Breakfast was also very good with a choice of items to suit most tastes. For its price, the room and the facilities were excellent. It is in an area where dining is easy. Memento shopping is also easy.
