We stayed at Hotel Windrose for five nights and overall had a very enjoyable stay. I would rate the hotel 4.5 out of 5. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the staff. I would honestly rate them 7/5. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, professional and willing to assist. The staff are a genuine asset to Hotel Windrose and were one of the highlights of our stay. A very special thank you must go to Max at reception, who was fabulous throughout our stay. He organised taxis for us whenever we needed them and was always happy to answer any questions we had. His friendliness, helpfulness and willingness to assist made things so much easier for us during our time in Rome. Cleanliness was also exceptional — 7/5. Our room was consistently kept clean and tidy, and the housekeeping service was excellent. Breakfast was very good and I would rate it 5/5. It was a pleasant way to start each morning and we were very happy with the selection and service. The air conditioning in our room was excellent and deserves a special mention. It worked extremely well and made the room very comfortable after spending the day exploring Rome. Having a kettle in the room was another welcome convenience. The room itself I would rate 3/5 for comfort. It was perfectly functional and clean, but there were some areas where maintenance or refurbishment would improve the overall experience. We noticed peeling wallpaper and some cracks/peeling paint near the shower. These were relatively minor issues and did not spoil our stay, but addressing them would bring the room up to the same excellent standard as the service and cleanliness. One additional suggestion concerns the hotel bar. The bar is positioned directly in the reception area near the entrance, while there is a separate waiting room available for guests waiting for their rooms.

Lovely area close to everything within walking distance. Near train station. Air conditioned rooms. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact you had to pay extra for some breakfast foods like scrambled eggs or fried eggs. I feel it should have been included with the overall price with room and breakfast.

The blanket they gave was so thin and was cold all night.
