Nothing I didn’t like

From moment we arrived and met the first member of staff at Reception to later meeting Bar and Restaurant staff we found them all to be extremely friendly and helpful. The overall service and quality and value of all drinks and meals was excellent. Breakfast was particularly good with an extensive choice of dishes. What we had was cooked and presented nicely. We had our Golden Retriever dog with us who was spoiled and treated well by staff too.

To be honest the only negatives are really outwith the hotel staff and management’s control. We found that, being an old building the floors were a bit uneven and also very noisy when walking over them. This was a particular issue during the night when going to the toilet and disturbing each other. It was also an issue at night when people passed our room via the corridor. About 7am we were also disturbed by unthoughtful and disrespectful people out in the corridor talking at the top of their voices and speaking loudly to people in other rooms. As I say, this particular issue is really outwith staff control unless some signs on walls could be placed up. Not something you should have to do if people showed more respect and thought, I know.

Hôtel fonctionnel avec un accès direct au lock Lomond par un passage sous la nationale. Chambre bien équipée. Déjeuner très copieux mais assez cher (16,5 £).

Hôtel sans cachet (contrairement à tous les autres logements de notre séjour). La circulation incessante des voitures sur la nationale à proximité immédiate de l'hôtel ne permet pas d'apprécier le calme du Loch. Personnel un peu froid en particulier le barman. Il y avait une prestation musicale live le soir dont le volume sonore était beaucoup trop fort, il était impossible de se parler pendant le repas.
