Walker Ground Manor

Great hosts, wonderful B & B, fantastic rooms and hospitality. Range of delicious home cooked breakfast options. Beautiful scenery. Comfy large bed. Clean. Spacious en-suite. They really went above and beyond to give us a great stay, thank you.

Everything was brilliant! The location is a little hard to get to, but that's no fault of Walker Ground Manor. The Lake District just seems to have some tight twisty roads and the approach to the property is a dirt track which is a little out of the way, but if you are staying in this area or plan to explore the Lake District, I highly recommend. We would return here in a flash!

Ideal location. Great grounds and excellent rooms. Owners made us very welcome.

Beautiful setting with walkable to the village and local trails. Very peaceful at night and lovely views. Check in was easy and we were welcomed by Sue. Particular highlight was the breakfast, fresh and local produce to set you up for the day. Sue and Richard are very welcoming hosts and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Bedroom was large and bathroom had a bath and large shower. Very clean.

Walker Ground Manor is in a beautiful location and only a five minute walk into the centre of the village. The hosts, Sue and Richard, were very warm and friendly and on arrival we were greeted with home-made scones and tea in the conservatory which overlooks a very well-tended garden and was a great start to our stay. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious - there is a huge choice available and everything is freshly cooked to order using good quality local produce. We stayed in the Garden Room, which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including an extremely spacious en-suite. It's a wonderful place to stay and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We'll definitely return!
