Arhontika Villa is truly a “dream come true” place. Set in a beautiful landscape surrounded by hills, it has everything you could possibly need for comfort and enjoyment, plus wonderful hosts who genuinely want to make your stay the best ever. The Villa with the garden, the pool and the jakuzzi was so very tempting that we decided to stay one full day at home and enjoying a nice walk, meeting the village cats and nice local people finishing the day with perfect food at the local taverna. We discovered 3-4 hidden breathtaking beaches in reasonable driving distance, enjoyed the sunset in a taverna at the seaside and came home to play cards, games by the pool, relax in the jakuzzi with a glass of Cretan wine and gaze at the sky full of stars. Best vacation ever!

- the location - it is strategically placed so you can reach all major beaches in the area (Elafonisi ~35 min - you will have a head-start vs people coming from Chania or other big towns, Balos ~ 1h20min, Falassarna ~1h), but also other less known ones (our favorite was Paralia Psilos Volakas ~ 45 min)
- the jacuzzi and pool were great and clean
- you have 3 restaurants at a 5 min walk from the house
- the communication with the host was very responsive and clear
This didn't affect my rating but maybe it's important for others to know
- the area can have a bad internet connection (not the host's fault), but if you plan to work remotely you should considere it
- if you have a longer stay you should know you must self-manage in terms of cleaning (there's no service that comes every few days)

Beautiful and spacious Cretan home with a family feeling in the middle of amazing nature .The house is fully equipped with pool and jacuzzi.The landlord was extremely welcoming ,helpful and friendly .We were welcomed by an incredible cake made by the landlords mum .Elos is a super cute town with a village feeling and the most welcoming people.

The location of the villa in the beautiful village of Elos. Great restaurants in walking distance and incredible mountain views. The pool and hot tub were fabulous. Great welcome gifts - thank you for the delicious cake!
It took a couple of days to get used to driving along the mountain roads!
