I absolutely loved this hotel! 2026 marks its 70th anniversary, which makes it even more special!
The location is perfect, right on the beach and in the heart of Sperlonga! The hotel provides beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach towels are available to rent for €2 each. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the beach because it rained throughout our stay.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, well-organized, and beautifully maintained. The beds were super comfortable, the showers were amazing, and our room had a fan.
Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of delicious options! The breakfast and lunch staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the lunch menu was fantastic too!
The hotel also offers secure and convenient parking, which is a huge plus!
We even received a lovely 2027 calendar as a gift, which was such a nice touch!
Such a lovely hotel, with a fantastic location, great food, and WONDERFUL STAFF! I would definitely stay here again!

The location. The rooms. The beach service. The breakfast.
Found getting my cappuccino in the morning was a challenge. Almost finished breakfast before they came around to ask what I wanted to drink. As well not sure my plates were always cleaned up after I finished and left. So I had pile of dishes sitting at my table not removed.

We have just returned from a week’s stay at Hotel Aurora in Spinalonga, where the immaculate surroundings, thoughtful design and warm service created a genuinely relaxing experience. The hotel stands beside a sandy beach, and the room rate includes the use of a private beach umbrella and sun loungers. It has recently celebrated 70 years in business and is understandably proud of its long record of service. Every member of staff was helpful and contributed to the hotel’s welcoming, family atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the high design standards and carefully considered features throughout the property. Breakfast was tasty, and although the hotel does not serve evening meals, there is a good selection of nearby restaurants. We could only assume that its three-star rating reflects the absence of a swimming pool. For us, that was completely unimportant: the warm, clean sea was immediately beside the hotel, with miles of sandy beach to enjoy. In our view, Hotel Aurora deserves a much higher rating, and we left already wanting to return to this clearly cherished holiday destination.
The hair dryer was too fierce, and could have been adjustable. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent.

Beautiful scenery it was truly breathtaking.
They do not have a taxi service at the train station. My husband and I did not know that we needed to contact the hotel for a shuttle to get to and from the hotel, as it’s a 7-mile drive via car. We were practically stranded at the train station trying to figure out what to do which really freaked me out. I know this is a tourist destination for many Italians, so perhaps they don’t attract many people from other countries. However, it was really scary, and we almost decided to take another train back to Rome. It really ruined the entire trip, and we ended up coming back early. The only other thing is the flies on the beach not the hotel's fault but almost impossible to lie out and enjoy the ocean.
