Hotel Risveglio Akasaka

Great room, bathroom was amazing. Location is very convenient being within walking distance to amenities and subway lines. Staff were friendly.

Street noise was a little loud at times, there was a humming sound emitting from somewhere but stopped between 11pm-7am ish. Beds were some of the hardest we experienced.

This hotel is centrally located and right off the metro. Our room (triple) was large for Tokyo with a separate lounge area, which was helpful with three people. Daily cleaning service did well. Nice shower with good water pressure.

A few key things would make this more comfortable. 1. Remove the motion sensor light in the bathroom. It goes off and wakes everybody up. It also forces three beds into a corner of the room to avoid setting off the light, which makes no sense. Middle bed person has to scoot in and out of the bed since they are crammed in side to side. 2. Put a door on the bathroom. 3. Pit frosted glass or a curtain on the shower. Both 2 and 3 currently mean very little privacy in a three person room. 4. Vacuum the carpets or preferably change to hard flooring for cleanliness. 5. This room is over the kitchen and often smelled of food and other strange odors. Not sure what can be done, but it’s a bit unpleasant. These changes would improve the room significantly.
