Absolutely nothing!

We were all were blown away by how friendly the staff was and how beautiful the rooms were, By The Way Guesthouse is my go-to Clarens stay now!!! Thank you :)

Each room was beautifully furnished, from curtains to beds to artwork on the walls.
There was not a proper communal area.
We were a party of 13 people and there was nowhere for us to congregate that was protected from the weather elements.
The rooms weren't big enough for us to go to someone's room.
We had all bought lots of snacks etc to share but there was nowhere to put them.
Some rooms had crockery missing - a couple had only a wine glass and a champagne glass.
There were no dishing up spoons. No oven gloves.
Other than this, everything was really beautiful.
The hostess was very welcoming.

The photos looked stunning, not a true reflection of the unit
Breakfast was great and staff very pleasant.
It was freezing cold, not enough blankets or heating. Fireplace does not have enough airflow to burn in the unit without everything smelling like smoke.
The bathroom needs a lot of attention.
Curtains very dirty, shower drain broken and lots of mold in the shower.
