I loved this place - a beautiful winery, wonderful vineyards (so scenic), historic and interesting and a fabulous breakfast.

I wasn't keen on the bathroom being away from the bedroom.

The fattoria is located in a beautiful part of Chianti. With scenery straight out of a brochure you could spend all day admiring the views. The property is located near woodland so there are some lovely remote walks nearby. There is a restaurant located on the property which is very handy as it is a long drive for dinner otherwise. The meals and service there were great. There is also a large pool, where you can cool down on the hot sunny days. The fattoria is a winery and you can have tastings onsite and buy the wine. We were given a free bottle of wine because we had to change rooms due to a storm causing electrical issues in our booked room the night before we arrived. The owner was generous and the new room he provided was very nice (ie: an upgrade). The breakfast provided was good - lots of options. We also met some lovely people staying there. I recommend the Fattoria and would stay here again.

The last few kilometres of the drive to the property is via very bumpy gravel roads. If you are coming via Greve, the paved road is very narrow and the gravel road at the end is very steep and unpleasant to drive on. Coming from Sambuca is not quite as unpleasant but still bumpy. Be prepared!! Also don’t forget to bring insect repellent as the local insects took a liking to my husband!

This was my third visit, this time coming with my husband. It lived up to its expectations! We love the charm of the old building, the breakfast in the courtyard and the pool. The restaurant on property is such a bonus for the days you don't want to travel far.

A new pool was installed. It is larger and still has beautiful views but not advertised in the listing. I was disappointed as I was expecting to be able to use the original pool from my other visits which is now reserved for the villa. The only downside to the new pool is it's up a hill with big rocks which is not so easy to walk up without potentially rolling an ankle. You must walk carefully and pay attention!

Aucune isolation phonique, équipement minimum, très rustique, piscine partagée avec d’autres établissements et mériterait d’être aménagée pour être plus confortable, petit déjeuner très moyen.
