What a fantastic place the Gîte du Causse is! An old, beautifully restored farmhouse built of the local white Quercy limestone, it sits next to a collection of the original farm buildings. These provide spaces for eating outside, playing table-tennis, storing bikes, drying clothes and a having a bbq. The property is completely private and has its own, large and immaculately kept swimming pool very near to the house. The views from the house and garden of the gently rolling hills and fields are so relaxing. Our stay coincided with a May heatwave so the pool was used a lot. The thick stone walls of the farmhouse kept the interior nice and cool too. The Gîte du Causse is equidistant from the charming market town of Montcuq to the north and the unspoilt medieval hill town of Lauzerte to the west (around 15 minutes in the car to both). Each town has a ‘must-visit’ weekend market, lovely cafés and interesting shops and galleries.

Great property and location

We had a super 2 weeks, wonderful gite, tucked away in an extremely scenic area with rolling fields all around and an incredible sense of space and gorgeous views. Laurent was very professional and conscientious and the gite was extremely well equipped. Could not fault it in any way and neither could our dog who loved his first trip abroad.

Dieses Ferienhaus hat uns alle 6 für zwei Wochen alles geboten, was man sich wünschen kann. Das Haus und der es umgebende Garten sind nicht nur eine Augenweide sondern lassen auch nichts zu wünschen übrig. Der Pool ist wunderbar und hat uns täglich Erfrischung geboten. Die Scheune mit der Tischtennisplatte hat uns viel Spaß gemacht und wir haben schöne Abende dort verbracht. Im Haus konnten wir uns sehr wohlfühlen. In der Küche war alles vorhanden was man zum Kochen braucht. Das Haus und der Hof wurden mit viel Liebe zum Detail und einem unglaublichen Ästhetikempfinden und mit Respekt vor dem Historischen restauriert. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben uns herzlich empfangen. Die Umgebung ist sehr ländlich, wir konnten mit dem Hund schöne Spaziergänge machen. Mit dem Auto sind Supermärkte in ca 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Kleine hübsche Orte sind ebenfalls in unter einer Stunde erreichbar. Alles in allem war das ein wunderschönes Urlaubsdomizil, welches wir definitiv wieder buchen möchten.
