Room and breakfast were very good. As was the evening meal at Whitetails.

Breakfast very good. Ceilings rather low so tall folk need to be careful. Bed very comfortable.

Very nice touch - letters of Happy Birthday being put into my room before arrival! Comfortable bed, central location to wander around and explore New Forest. Good coffee and breakfast. Conveniently located restaurant together with the hotel, so during winter months you don’t have to go anywhere if you don’t want to.

Customers names displayed at the parking lot. In all my extensive travelling around the world I’ve never seen that.. something in me thinks it’s too much information shared with the whole village. Maybe it’s better to use Room names for allocated parking, not customers full names. I had to use an electric heater as it was cold at night, but wall heaters didn’t work. Too heavy air fresheners, had to switch both of them off.

Staff

The dirt at the back of the bed was disgusting, close the curtains put a lamp on and you will see, carpets old window blind old and the smell of the towel was like they had been left in the washer for a week or they are being reused, and the steam/fumes ? either from the bolier outlet was coving my window if boiler i would be worried about opening a window. If from the kitchen fan still wromg coverimg the window constantly. Unable to open the window due to this
