Monte Prado Hotel & Spa

Tout s’est merveilleusement bien passé : une parenthèse de luxe et de calme. Une chambre immense bien insonorisée , des équipements très qualitatifs et un petit déjeuner continental délicieux. Merci !

Amazing views, friendly staff, comfy bed, very kind team in the restaurant and bar in particular. Lovely and clean. We’d come back for sure!

Quite hard used in places - not as “luxe” as the photos make you think it might be but very clean. Breakfast was ok but not amazing - cakes etc looked lovely but the non-dairy/healthy options more limited.

L'emplacement est merveilleux, idéal pour qui prétend se reposer et profiter de la nature tout à côté. Les plats servis au restaurant sont tout simplement divins!

Les chaises longues de la piscine extérieure mériteraient d'être plus confortables.

We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel. The location is fantastic, surrounded by nature and perfect for long, relaxing walks. The accommodations were comfortable, well-maintained, and provided everything we needed for a pleasant stay. What truly stood out was the staff, who were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Their kindness made our experience even more enjoyable. We would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful natural setting.

Unfortunately, my experience at the restaurant, Foral de Melgaço, was disappointing. While the staff were polite and courteous, the quality of the food was far below the standard I would expect from a hotel of this category. I ordered the Sugestão do Chefe and a fish dish served with shrimp rice. The experience was extremely poor. The rice was undercooked, and when I asked for the issue to be corrected, the replacement was even worse. As a result, I was unable to eat the main course. What I found particularly surprising was that, despite the obvious problem, no one from the restaurant or hotel management approached me to discuss the situation or acknowledge the issue. A simple conversation or apology would have gone a long way. The hotel itself is very nice and I would recommend it for its location, accommodations, and friendly staff. However, I would strongly suggest dining elsewhere. Melgaço offers several excellent restaurants within a 1 km radius that provide a much better culinary experience.
