Trip Inn Hotel Ariane

Un petit rafraîchissement de l'établissement serait un plus

After a delayed train into Hamburg and then an extra hour's wait because of a cancelled train to Kóln it was well after one in the morning before I set off from the Hauptbahnhof to find the hotel but it was more straightforward than I expected, plus the twenty four hour reception was a godsend to a weary traveller. Morning light filling the room was probably what I needed to get me awake and out next day, en-suite was good. Can't comment on wi-fi or breakfast as time didn't allow for either before check out.

I messaged ahead from the train when it became obvious that I would be very late but got a confusing message back telling me to cancel (I had paid for a non cancellable booking) and re-book.I ignored the message but it did worry me, a booking.com system glitch or someone at the Ariane misunderstanding my message ? Anyway, when I eventually got to the hotel the receptionist was fine.

The location is great - close to several bus and tram stations, the city center, and a huge public pool. WiFi was super quick. The staff were very helpful when we needed things like extra soap and trash bags. Convenient that it's staffed 24/7 as well. The rooms had windows that opened completely open, so a nice breeze could air out the room. The TV was fine as well, with quite a range of channels.

The facilities weren't super clean - the bathroom could do with freshening up as there were stains on the grout and tiles.

The receptionist was polite anf helpfull

Very small room and small bed
