Lotte City Hotel Kinshicho

We were already familiar with the location from living in Japan but it worked even better than we thought as a base for returning as a tourist. Kinshicho is well connected on all major train and subway lines which made getting everywhere very easy, whilst it's also a little distanced from the madness of central Tokyo, so it was also quiet and easy to relax. The hotel itself was excellent, the room was spacious (for Japan), the view of the Sky Tree was wonderful, especially at night and it felt quiet, clean and secure throughout our stay. The amenties bar at reception was handy for picking up extra coffee etc. too. Bed were large and comfortable.

The breakfast was a bit expensive for what you got, especially when there is a 7-11 downstairs and a wide range of external food places close by. Most of the staff were excellent but there was one who was a bit grumpy every time we spoke to her.

Great location. Near train and subways stations. Lots around. Nice area.big beds.

Rooms were small. Would have been better without couch so bags could fit. Couldn’t sit on couch anyway as bags needed to go on it so you could get to bathroom.

Excellent location for JR Trains and Metro into Tokyo central and other tourist destinations.
