Hotel Giardinetto

Hotel is 8 min walk from train station and 5 min walk to lake and restaurants etc. This feels like a family run hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Due to flight and train delays I did not arrive till after 11pm. I had sent message once I knew I was going to be so late. I was greated by gentleman who was so friendly despite the late hour. The next day I asked where I could buy a charger (I had wrong sort for this part of Italy) and an umbrella. A suitable charger was found for me for length of stay and spare umbrella offered. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was basic but very clean. The bathroom the same. The shower is compact but that did not bother me. The water pressure was excellent and the water was good and hot. Although being on main road, once the windows were closed, the street noise did not bother me at all. The breakfast is continental with a good choice. I am vegan so only had toast and cereal so cant comment on other food. There was no plant milk on the table but was provided as soon as I asked the first day.

The bed....Unfortunately I found it very hard. This could be fixed with a decent mattress topper. I used a blanket that was in the wardrobe to soften it a bit.

The staff was excellent! Especially Ilauria and Sara, they could not have been more helpful. The restaurant recommendations were perfect, delicious food. All of their tips for what to see and do in the area were just terrific!

The hotel is clean and well located for the train station and lake front. The staff were helpful and breakfast was ok. The air con worked although it was very noisy.

The hotel is very dated and quite noisy. The bathroom in our room was very small and the water pressure in the shower was very poor.
