Turtle Bay Dive Resort

Staff were friendly and attentive, the place was well maintained, and the room was acceptable for what we paid. Overall, a good experience and good value for money.

We did some diving at the resort. While the dives themselves were great, we felt a little rushed: the dive brief was insufficient, and we didn’t have much time to check our gear before entering the water. New divers should be aware of this. Additionally, Nitrox was listed as available in the dive pricing brochure they sent before our arrival, but it was not available when we asked on site. Overall, the dive staff were very friendly but seemed to lack experience. For comparison, we had just come from Bohol, and the difference was like night and day — the safety briefings there were much more thorough than what we received here. So something to be aware of when looking to dive with them.

The location was great — right on the coast and only a short tuk-tuk ride into town. We were a group of five friends travelling together and, as we arrived just after the busiest part of the season, we virtually had the place to ourselves. This made it really relaxing, with no issues getting deck chairs by the pool or a table for breakfast whenever we wanted. We ate dinner there one night, and it was excellent. Breakfast was good, the cocktails were great, and the front desk staff were very helpful in organising our day trips. I can highly recommend the canyoneering excursion — it was one of the highlights of our stay and such a fun day out.

As five single friends, we had to book one regular double room and two twin rooms, as there was no three-person room option available. The twin rooms were located in a different section of the property and weren’t quite as nice as the rooms in the main area. The sunset bar was also still under construction during our stay, so unfortunately we didn’t get to experience that.

Breakfast was good. Nothing extraordinary but good.

The staff were very kind and accommodating． We were able to enjoy the pool at night.

The wifi signal was not consistent. There was a few things that were not working when we first came into the room like the air conditioner, the bedside lamp and the wall clock. But when we reported it to the receptionist, the problems were addressed timely.
