Excellent staff that greeted us well and looked after all our needs. Very original Japanese building and antiques inside. The onsen was amazing. Clean and private. We had 5 adults and one baby and our accommodation was good size rooms for us all. Best part was the staff and authentic meals.

It is out of way in countryside so need car or cab to get anywhere but this also was its charm located in forest.

Authentic ryokan experience. The owners are extremely kind and the property is beautiful. The meals (breakfast and dinner) were delicious (Japanese meals) and the experience was unforgettable. Highly recommended if you want a small ryokan with old vibes in a warm and cozy environment. Bring your sweatshirt because it might get a little bit cold!

Amazing Dinner, Onsen and Room

We had a wonderful stay. The ryokan is beautifully maintained and exactly as shown in the photos. Everything was spotless, and the overall standard was excellent (200 years old and they managed to make it feel like a cosy museum). The food in general was absolutely incredible — one of the highlights of our stay. The onsen was also amazing, especially the unique black water, which is said to be very good for the skin. What truly made the experience special, though, was the staff: everyone was incredibly kind, warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We also truly appreciated the lovely honeymoon gift, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more memorable.
