Ghent River Hotel

It’s a nice hotel with the old part in the middle. Nice rooms.

The rooms on the street side are in the weekend not that comfortable because of the noise from the puns.

Great location! The room was clean and spacious. The receptionist on duty 9/9 helped us secure a taxi to Utrecht NL because of a national transportation strike! The cost was almost the same as if we had taken trains!

Friendly staff, excellent central location, good-sized room, bathroom products & tissues, extensive breakfast buffet

- A bit noisy (I was on the groundfloor), during the (working) day because of construction works next door and at night and over the weekend because of people talking (outside? In the gym?) - 1 free complimentary bottle of water would've been thoughtful.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful

I specifically booked a night at the hotel so that I could get a decent nights sleep (the heatwave had been causing me sleepless nights). However, there are major building works going on next door which started at 6am and disturbed my sleep. The hotel knew that this work was ongoing and had received complaints previously, but they didn't warn me or take any action to delay the works. I think they need to come to some sort of agreement with the company doing the building work, or they need to not use the rooms closest to the renovations.
