Hotel Mirador

Very friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Perfect location if you will be using the marina across the street as we were. Upstairs you can see some of the original hotel interior. Always a treat. Easy walk (well up a lot of stairs, but we heard there was a public elevator in the parking garage next door) to lots of restaurants and a laundromat.

Nothing really. It may not be a full 4 star but for price (booked ahead) and location it was just fine. No beach nearby but this is a city hotel.

Location wasn’t what I expected

The location was great, 15 minutes walk to the city center. The breakfast restaurant has a great view. The staff was polite and helpful.

Our stay on the 5th floor was disappointing due to major noise issues and an outdated room. Located right next to the breakfast room and the public steps above the car park, thin walls meant street noise kept us up throughout the evening. Though housekeeping tidied and gave us fresh towels daily, the duvet was stained and the room decor felt thoroughly worn out. On our way to the pool, we noticed several newly refurbished rooms—we would have happily paid more for one had this option been made clear during booking. To top it off, I messaged the hotel beforehand regarding our arrival time and anniversary, but received zero response or recognition.
