Grand Hôtel de L'Univers Saint-Germain

Excellent location. Comfortable room. Friendly staff.

This hotel is a gem! I chose it based on its neighborhood and its reviews. The review that mentioned that a taxi could be arranged to meet me at the train station sealed the deal. Location, location, location! It is a beautiful small hotel on a remarkably quiet street yet just steps away from a multitude of restaurants and within walking distance to an incredible number of major Parisian attractions: Notre Dame, Musee Cluny, Musee D’Orsay, Musee de L’Orangerie, Grand Palais, Eiffel Tower, The Louvre. There was someone at the front desk at all hours so needing a door code was unnecessary. The room had lots of character and the bathroom was “new.” The hotel has a lovely breakfast option on the lower floor so one could start the day easily without having to search for breakfast first. (My hotel package did not include breakfast but the extra cost was worth it and one could get a beautiful meal. ) The staff were lovely and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This hidden hotel in the heart of the 6th was perfect in every way. All 3 of the desk personnel were gracious and welcoming hosts and Theo in particular was very helpful. If you book a room here ask for 61. A stunning evening view of the Eiffel Tower will eave you mesmerized. Great hot water, water pressure, and cozy bathrobes await.
