Villa Sanjomuromachi KYOTO

The room and especially the bathroom were spacious. The bed was comfortable and the in-room breakfast was great.

From the website we were not aware, that our room had no outside window - we were just looking into a narrow couryard.

Location is very good and you can walk the entire center. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is nice. Attached to the hotel is fantastic bakery with excellent coffee.

There is no fault in the hotel but no fitting center and the bar/breakfast areas are fairly small and can be crowded.

We received personal help from the staff with recommendations for restaurants, calling a taxi and luggage transfers. They seemed to make it their mission to help us have the most enjoyable stay. Also, the room was amazing, the bed super comfortable and the large bathroom had plenty of counter space. The location is also great as it has close proximity to restaurants and the Nishiki Market, but tucked away on a quiet street. We would definitely want to stay here again on a return trip.

Absolutely amazing staff, location, beds, pillows and rooms! We truly loved our stay here. Bartenders are very kind, fun, and be sure to ask them to make a off the drinks menu drink. The hotel is located in walking distance from everything you’d like to see as a first timer in Kyoto. And even if you’d like to take the subway it’s only a couple of minutes away! This has been the best hotel stay for us in Japan. They also gave us a free upgrade which was absolutely lovely. We had our breakfast in our room, and it was yummie. A lot of food and great coffee too. All in all they really showed us Japanese hospitality at its finest.

We loved everything and have nothing negative to say.
