Beautiful cottage in a farm setting not to far from Carlisle. Everything we needed and more. Will definitely stay There again

8 / 10Excellent·juill. 2025

Just what we wanted. The hosts were ‘hands off’, but that’s fine , we were left to enjoy the break. Great location. Cottage very functional and goos value for money.

A leaking tap in the kitchen was a little annoying. No garden (just a patio), but we knew that.

Very clean and comfortable.

Can’t think of anything.

We used this as a base to walk Hadrian's Way. It was very central to our walks, good price and owner was on site and easily accessible. The property was well equipped, warm and clean.

Property was getting a bit "dated". When using the hot water a loud humming noise was heard which may have disturbed the neighbours. The radiator in the twin room bathroom stuck out of the wall too much and was too near the sink, making it awkward to move. Wifi didn't work even though I followed the instructions of the owner. There was no book or folder giving directions as to putting bins out or recycling etc which would have been nice.
