Ideal position just a few minutes walk to the Asahidake ropeway, quiet room facing the mountain, kind and helpful personnel.
The Bearmonte struck me as a functional mountain lodge that does what it is supposed to do without the luxury comforts. Both the lounge area in the lobby and the dining-room are rather canteen-like in appearance but the food was good.

Brilliant setting. Within easy walking distance to the Ropeway . Really large room with comfortable beds. Excellent food. Excellent Onsen.

Great location on walking distance to ropeway. Room was gigantic. Dinner & breakfast were giant buffets with lots of options. I liked there was craft beer options available for sale. Staff were very friendly in resturant and hotel. We stayed two nights so they don’t clean the room but leave extra towels, waters and things in a basket outside the room, which really great. WiFi was fast.
It was really hot across the hotel. The heat was too high. We had to open our window at night to cool off room. Elevator was boiling.

Huge comfortable room. Location
Not as clean as other properties. Onsen could have been cleaner. Minimal staff that seemed over worked. Food had some very good items but mostly mediocre.
