Very small access to en suite bathroom

We were surprised that the room was not made up between stays. Access would be a challenge for a person with mobility challenges up a metal external staircase to reach the rooms. You need to understand that parking is street parking and can be a challenge to find a space. The breakfast was excellent.

That I could hear everything going on in the building. I didn’t like that I couldn’t shut the bathroom door.

The room was decorated very nicely in a pretty building close to Blenheim Palace

The noise was very bad, both from the street outside (the window was open because it was very stuffy in the small room and even when I closed the window, the noise could still be heard). Also noise from other guests staying was very loud because the floors creak a lot and the internal doors and walls are thin. I was woken both at 11.30am and 2am by guests in the rooms around me returning after an evening out - there should be a policy of no noise after a certain time, instead of lots of noise! Then delivery trucks arrive from 5am in the morning making lots of noise outside. I was in room 4 at the front of the building - other rooms might be quieter. I had specifically asked for a quiet room, but not given it even though I booked many months beforehand. Breakfast wasn't included even though you are led to believe it is from the description of the property. The plumbing is very noise from other rooms as well as the room I was in, making gurgling sounds for a long time after use.
