Bed was very comfortable.
It was cheap, you get what you pay for.
Landlady, Sophia is very nice, always happy.
It's a nice location, very close to the harbour, bars and restaurants.
Poor maintenance, broken toilet seat, a bent nail to fasten the bathroom door, etc.
Very noisy stairs.
It's a very old building and needs some modernisation.

One night in a Venetian Palace was everything I expected and more. The apartment was more than adequate with a fridge the same as I have at home which was great for cooling my water and Coke for the day ahead. I arrived in the middle of the storms; the view from the bedroom window of the harbour was sublime.
There was not any coffee or tea available although there was a kettle. I didn't like the "Palestinian" graffiti outside the window but that isn't the hosts fault. Generally too much graffiti in Crete anyway!

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Venetian Harbour and surrounded by lovely cafés, restaurants, and shops.
The room was clean and had a beautiful sea view from the window.
Sofia is a very friendly and welcoming.

The host was lovely, friendly and was there to welcome us.
The room is in a very good location and just down the road and within walking distance from the old town harbour, the main tourist spot of Chania.
The host provided us with free parking.
Hot water was available throughout the day.
The bed was very squeaky and our first night was quiet and pleasant and the following night a group of people arrived and they made a noise from 10pm till late and arrived back early hours of the morning making a huge noise as if no one else was around.
The rooms are in an old historical building within the castle walls and one needs to take into consideration that there are squeaky floors.
