Lovely ryokan in great location, the owners were so helpful including picking us up and dropping us off at the station. Traditional Japanese house. Excellent value breakfast.

A good Japanese-style accommodation, welcoming host, delicious breakfast

If you want an authentic Japanese experience, this is a great place for it. The host can communicate in very simple English and is extremely hospitable and sweet. It feels like you’re living in a Japanese grandpa house. He even gave us strawberries at night which was a sweet gesture and he gave us a ride to the station. Coffee and green tea are provided. I especially like the heater under the table for my tired legs.
Also expect to make your own Japanese bed. The blankets are very comfortable. The bathroom and onsen are shared, but you can lock it for your own group.
If you’re expecting a hotel experience, this may not be for you. We were a group of 4 and the wifi only worked for one of us.
For the washrooms, though there are private stalls, there was one men’s urinal in plain sight. Though we didn’t have trouble with it because it was quiet.
