Glue Hotel

The location was great! Very close to many bus stops and not so far from the metro station. The rooms were clean and silent .

The building has a side that faces the construction site, so you may expect some noise and dust as well as the not-pleasing view.

Superbe chambre avec une vue magnifique, conforme à la description. Lit immense et très confortable. Belle salle de bain avec douche. Personnel attentionné. Bar Lounge au sous-sol très sympa, petit déjeuner Poke-Box disponible le matin, concerts certains soirs de la semaine. Bien situé, proche des bus, pratique pour découvrir Séoul. Pressing au pied de l’hôtel, la gentille dame nous a préparé notre linge dans la journée et redéposé à la réception une fois terminé. Bagagerie disponible, on peut laisser les bagages avant le checkin et après le checkout. Tout était parfait.

Mauvaise insonorisation entre les chambres et avec l’extérieur. On entend les bruits de la rue comme si on y était, bien qu’on était au 9e étage avec les fenêtres fermées.

Slightly too far out but not a big issue!

The location was good: about a 10-minute walk to two different subway stations, also possible to walk to several tourist attractions and malls.

The hotel page on booking.com made me believe that all the rooms other than standard ones have a beautiful view onto the old town. This is NOT the case. At the check-in, it turned out that only the deluxe rooms have it, not the superior ones, one of which I had booked. Indeed, our room had a view over a big and SUPER NOISY construction site where works like drilling and thumping and what not started very early in the morning. Obviously, that is not how I wanted to wake up during my vacation in Seoul. When we tried to explain the problem to the lady at the check-in and possibly make an upgrade, she seemingly forgot all the English, even though she had spoken it quite well just before. Finally, she told us that an upgrade was not possible as there were no more rooms left and would not become available during our stay dates. Terrible. Other than that, the shower in the bathroom has isolation problems: when you take a shower, the water spills over and the whole bathroom floor, which is supposed to stay dry, turns into a pond.
