Bed And Breakfast Maria

Very well located in the center of tiny Scopello town. Paid parking available nearby. Small fridge for guests in the common dining area. Comfortable bed. Delicious, copious breakfast. Inexpensive for the location.

Maria seems to spend much of the day and night on the couch in the living area on the ground floor, and we felt a bit as if we were intruding. The second day, the ground floor smelled strongly of stale tobacco; Maria or someone must have smoked inside. The spiral staircase to the bedrooms is very steep and narrow—hard to bring luggage up and down. Bathroom was in the room, but very tiny: no shelf for toiletries, shower curtain torn off two rings (we fixed it) and difficult to keep from sticking to us, lime deposits on the faucet and shower head preventing smooth water flow, thick dust on the ceiling ventilation grid. Voices and laughter from nearby bar into early hours of the morning are quite audible in the bedroom.

Maria was amazing, she cooked breakfast for everyone, which meant we had such a cute breakfast conversation with the other people staying. Scopello such a small quaint place, and Maria added to it perfectly and felt like we were part of her family for a couple days!

Très surpris qu’il n’y ait pas d’extérieur privé, on est sur la place du village

C’est un B&B où on l’est chez l’habitant. Nous avons eu une grande chambre avec une petite salle de bain privative mais à l’extérieur de la chambre (moins pratique). Maria propose un beau petit déjeuner sucré salé très varié. Le B&B est placé dans la place centrale du village, très belle et animée les week-ends.

Les allés-retours à la salle de bain lorsque il y a d’autres hôtes dans le couloir peut être gênant si l’on aime l’intimité. Il faut être à l’aise avec le fait côtoyer ses voisins et la gérant du B&B.
