We had the chance to stay in this incredible guesthouse built during the Ottoman era by a Tunisian aristocratic family, and it was an unforgettable experience The house itself is pure history - the painted ceilings, the zellige tiles, the old archways and the big gold mirror in the dining hall, you feel like you're living in a real Beylical palace but with all modern comfort. Everything was extremely calm and spotlessly clean, so peaceful despite being in the heart of the Medina And the host was amazing - so welcoming, warm, and generous with stories about the house. You can feel he truly loves this place and wants to share its history If you want to experience authentic Tunisian heritage, not just a hotel, this is the place. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back

The room does not lock

The house is a 200+ year old mansion/palace of former governors and the elite of Tunis. It gives one the experience of staying in a palace and experiencing a place directly out of a history book. The host and his daughter were very hospitable and very helpful in helping me find all the locations I needed. The house is in the old Medina of Tunis, so it is an ideal location to explore the old medieval town. It is truly a unique experience staying here.

Nothing that I didnt like. However, if you are looking for modern rooms, brand new tiled surfaces and a western style accommodation, this place is NOT for you. It is only for the person looking to travel back in time to a different era. It is a unique experience for the adventurous traveller.

The house is amazing, It's perfect if you want to live the experience of staying in a house of 18th century! Very nice and helpful hosts who made our stay comfortable and memorable. We enjoyed our stay and if we find ourselves in Tunis again we'll stay there, no doubt!

Les lits absolument inconfortables Le salon en commun collé aux chambres, ceux qui discutent embêtent ceux qui essaient de dormir La salle de bains/WC complètement laissés à l'abandon! Jamais vu aussi sale et en mauvais état. Les écoulements de la douche qui finissent devant le bac à douche, donc là où on met les pieds pour sortir. C'est dommage ça laisse une mauvaise image de cet établissement.
