Sli Na Mara

The owner of the lodging George was very kind, informative and helpful. We had good breakfast for two mornings. The lodging was a walkable distance to downtown Galway and along the coastal water.George recommended two restaurants at walking distance, and the restaurant called Hooked had very tasty food and the food was reasonably affordable, so we went there for 2 nights.Hooked was very busy if one went there after 7pm and one has to wait for a free table then. The best advice is to go there earlier. George was at the lodging most of the time. He and his family live on the same building. So it was easy to find him if one needs help or has questions. Our room has a big bed but was a little crowded for two people. Bathroom and our room are clean. All in all, it was a great stay at this accommodation.

none.

very nice breakfast room.

close to walking into Galway

It was a great location. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle from downtown Galway but a great walking distance to get to everything. Plenty of options for breakfast. We left with full bellies! Bridie, our host was amazing and made us feel right at home.

Suggestion- room 3 we could not figure out how to operate the shower. Some instructions might be helpful to leave in the room. We did not want to bother our wonderful host since it was so late in the evening.

Just so you know it’s someone’s home all you get is a small bedroom with a small ensuite. 10 minute walk to city center. The breakfast was good. The host is very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and surrounding area.

No soap provided. Have no common area except for breakfast time.
