Ostello Marello

The price. The novelty. Good shared kitchen facility. Fantastic location in Monti. Clean.

Check-in was slow with passport details being copied out by hand. There were 2 other couples arrived at a similar time and the nun on check-in wanted to process everyone before showing to our rooms. So this probably took 20 minutes. The shared bathroom on the 2nd floor has very small men's facilities. It's manageable - but the toilet and shower are tiny and as a 6ft 2 man I barely fit in the toilet! A bit noisy at night with the sound from the lively street - didn't stop me sleeping but bring earbuds if that sort of thing bothers you.

Great location, convenient, friendly.

WiFi was weak and unpredictable. With no aircon, you need to leave the noisy fans on,

It is in a good location. Walking distance to Colosseum etc lots of cafes, artisan businesses etc

I was on the street side which was very noisy. Garbage trucks at 4 am! Also no lift so as an older person I found lugging my bags hard up 2 floors

Très simple, très propre, personnel adorable et idéalement placé
