The rating should normally be reasonable for the price paid. In this specific case, for a €400/night stay in a 4-star hotel, 1) the staff is inadequate, or at least not all of them are adequate. 2) the breakfast doesn't offer much choice. We didn't like the fact that, after requesting an iron in the evening, it was taken away as soon as we left for breakfast (without asking or caring if we'd already used it or if we still needed it, so much so that we had to ask for it. Perhaps it was the only iron in the hotel...) We didn't like the false, "forced" courtesy, based solely on clichés and not on a genuine concern for being helpful. Unfortunately, this comes across as someone evidently "obliging" or "instructing" us to behave in a certain way, but done in this way, it serves no purpose and simply seems like a joke.
