Great property and amazing location

This home exceeded our expectations. The home was exactly as described and was perfect for our group. The home was clean, well equipped, cozy, had amazing views, and in a perfect location just off the sandbar. We will definitely be returning next year!

We had an incredible stay on Torch Lake in this house. Lots of room for our entire family to stay and hang out comfortably! Lakefront is beautiful and very well kept. Lots of outdoor equipment to enjoy the lake as well - new paddleboards were delivered during our stay too for us to use, which was awesome! We really loved our stay and will be back! :)

Awesome both outdoors and in, there are plenty of areas for gathering in groups to visit with our family from away. Beautiful lakefront! Access to many things to do and places to go!

We had a great time! Everything was perfect with this stay.

There is nothing to not love about this beautiful home & property. It was clean, well stocked & so very charming. We are 5 families with children ages 4-17 & everyone enjoyed their time immensely. The kitchen is perfect for gathering & cooking meals together. The property felt very quiet & access to the mooring line was wonderful for the boat rental we had for the week. Judy (owner) was so kind & helpful. I would love to return to this home again & cannot say enough how much you should take the opportunity to vacation here if you can! It was a very special week for our family & we will cherish it forever.

From the minute we walked into the house we knew that the week was going to be amazing! The house was so clean, organized, and welcoming! It was stocked very well, and had everything we needed! The layout of the house was awesome and the details in the rooms were so beautiful! Many nights were spent around the fire roasting marshmallows and laughing! The dock was great for our pontoon boat we rented as well! The property managers were very helpful and timely in their responses! Overall, we were so happy with our stay! We made so many wonderful memories with our family, and will hopefully be back soon! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We loved our stay! Amazing house with amazing views! We had our coffee and breakfast each morning on the back patio and enjoyed watching boats drive by. Highly recommend!

This property is a precious gem sitting right on Torch lake. It is a great setup for housing multiple families with kids. The house is spacious and clean, the kitchen is large and accommodating, the bathrooms and kitchen have been updated and the windows looking out at the lake are numerous. The back yard and the dock are well cared for. The house is situated on a shallow part of the lake which allowed us to let our kids play with little fear of harm or injury. We rented a boat and enjoyed all the lake had to offer. I would stay here again in the future.

This is our groups second stay at this property. The house is spotless and has many upgrades. The kitchen/ lower level fit our large group very well. The Host and Care-taker are both very fast to respond. 5-Stars for sure...

We are a group of 15 women who have an annual fall trip together. The Funbunch Torch House is wonderful for large groups. The kitchen had all the necessary kitchen gadgets and the beds were comfy. Thanks for a great weekend!

Spacious house at the southern tip of the lake. This house was more than we expected. Roomy with lots of locations for family activities. Fun on the sandbar, sitting on the dock at sunset and fires at night. What a great time for the entire family!

This rental exceeded our expectations and we had the time of our lives. We will be back & want to make this an annual thing!

This home has plenty of space, which nicely accommodated our group of 2 young families (with total of 4 kids aged 3 to 7) and a nanny. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishware, and has 2 large refrigerator/freezers, a large stovetop and oven. It does not have a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink, which made dishes more of a chore to clean the trap. The house is very well maintained and clean, except the kitchen was infested with hundreds of fruit flies when we arrived. We had the same problem with fruit flies at a different home on the Torch sandbar last year, but had hoped that a home of this higher quality and price would not include a fly infestation. Still, it probably had more to do with the previous renters than with the home owners or property manager, as we heard they were very messy, and irresponsible renters may be commonplace on the sandbar known for partying. We purchased a lot of sticky fly traps, since the few vinegar traps provided were insufficient, and we had killed most of the flies within 24-48 hr. Anyway, back to the good stuff - we were delighted to find a junior size paddle board provided, which my 6yo and 7yo sons tried for the first time and enjoyed very much. There are also 2 two-person kayaks, which were lovely for enjoying the calm water of the sandbar in the morning and late evening. The outdoor patio furniture is quite nice, and the grill worked well. We also enjoyed the fire pit for smores and ambience. The in-room AC units gave us individualized control and worked very well to keep everyone cool. The bedding was especially comfortable, and I slept great every night! The family room that opens up to kitchen is nicely furnished with plenty of space. However, there is not main floor bathroom, so everyone had to run upstairs to use the toilet during game nights or TV time. Since we have young children, one major attraction of this property was the sandy beach and shallow swimming from the dock, but sadly we ended up with swimmers itch, due to the abundance of snails living in the shallow waters. We realized it right away and tried to treat it with hydrocortizone and then had to forbid the children from using the sandy beach in an effort to avoid it, which was very disappointing. We had to give in at times and let the children swim off the far end of the dock, but snails and swimmers itch still plagued us there. So every dip in the water led to aggressive washing and drying but still went home with itch!

We all agreed that this was one of our all time favorite family vacations, and it was largely due to a combination of the beauty and serenity of the setting, the location/convenience of property and its cleanliness and many accommodations, and an active owner that genuinely cared about our experience and did everything possible to enhance it.

Fabulous. The “cottage” was perfect for our family of three daughters and their young families. Our host and property manager we’re very responsive to our texts. It is a well appointed, comfortable house for a large family gathering with young children. We also loved the outdoor spaces of “living room”, dining area and lawn for tag and corn hole. We did rent a large pontoon boat. That we found to be crucial to enjoying the lake. Overall, we had a fabulous time. Great house, perfect weather and beautiful evenings. Thank you, M. Chase 8/6/2022

This property is perfect for a big family. Plenty of room for everyone! Big kitchen for preparing and eating. Very clean! Beautiful view of the lake! A nice backyard for sitting or fire at night.

I can’t say enough about this property! It was perfect in every way! The house has enough space for people to escape too! There was enough of everything in the kitchen to have big groups eat multiple times in a day. The backyard was perfect for playing games and lounging around the fire. The house was SPOTLESS. It felt like I was walking to buy the home instead of rent it. The binder helped you find all of the things you needed to know about the area. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough space for people to sleep. The location of the home was fantastic! You could walk to the sandbar if you wanted. Or simply tie up all the tubes and wade in the water! Being able to use the kayaks and paddle boards was a big plus as well. We had a lot people use them! I would recommend this home as an escape for any family looking for a yard, nice water, and a lot of space.
