HOPESTEL Secret Garden Napoli

The staff were consistently very friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeping team. They do an excellent job: the hostelroom itself and all common areas were spotless throughout my stay. The garden and overall atmosphere of the hostel are also very pleasant. And: the view from the terrace!

The location is quite challenging, as the hostel is uphill and the walk back involves steep, narrow and poorly lit streets. The city itself I would describe as safe for female solo travelers, but this may be uncomfortable for those who are returning late at night unless they take a taxi (which is 25€ each time for tourists). The public lift in the park closes after 10 pm and already after 2 pm on Sundays, which means an additional climb afterwards (through described narrow streets). Some information also needs updating. There are not as many group activities as one might have guessed, mostly self-organized by hostel-roommates. So for those staying at rooms that are not that social, there’s not much to do with the other guests. Massages may not be available even when requested in advance, and the information about laundry was not accurate. The hostel elevator only works with 10-cent coins, does not stop on the first floor, and carrying luggage up the steep stairs can be difficult.

I liked everything! Incredibly friendly staff, stunning garden with wellbeing chill zone, everything there is well thoughtful, from decorations, designing, art and activities. Common areas like kitchen, leaving room, garden were always clean :) snd they have the best coffee!☕️🤩🥰

3 bank beds were new experience for me. I had the top one. The ladder wasn’t too comfortable to climbing down but for fit and experienced travellers it shouldn’t be a problem, especially that the rooms have very hight ceiling

Tout était parfait, le cadre est magnifique et très calme, un petit havre de paix dans un palazzo traditionnel, le personnel est très accueillant.

Ce n’est pas la faute de l’auberge mais il y a vraiment des clients irrespectueux qui n’ont pas compris que le concept des auberges était qu’ils n’étaient pas tout seul. Quand vous êtes complètement ivre à 3h du matin, prenez une chambre individuelle.

Jardin très agréable et bien aménagé, espaces communs très sympa, bon accueil et bon emplacement.

Impossible de dormir, il faisait une chaleur pas possible dans le dortoir. J'ai sollicité la fille de l'accueil qui m'a dit que la clim se déclenchait automatiquement à 21h, donc impossible de se reposer à la fraîche avant. Et ensuite, clim au minimum, je me suis réveillé deux fois en sueur dans la nuit et je suis allé prendre une douche (début septembre, je n'ose pas imaginer comment c'est en plein été). Sinon, deux trois petits détails : pas de cadenas fournis pour les casiers, serviette en supplément (pas cool), pas de thé /café offert... Dommage, les locaux sont très beau, j'aurais vraiment mis 9/10 si la clim avait fonctionné correctement.
