We were a multigenerational group of 11 with ages ranging from 3 to nearly 80. The space worked well for us all with plenty of outside space for the children. The ulstaites “chill out area” was perfect for the okder children. We were blessed with good but not too hot weather so we were able to make the most of the outside space and the hot tub. The tub was undoubtedly the high spot for the children. The kitchen is well equipped but seving bowls are big and heavy so not recommended for serving outside. As we cooked ourselves during the whole weekend we took some of our own kitchen item - just in case - but found we needed only a few of them. The welcome pac of butter, bread, jam, was very practical. The wood for the tub lasted us all weekend as did the BBQ charcoal. Before our booking we were advised of the unavailability of the some of the facilities which were available when we booked - sauna & truck etc which was a disappointment for many in our group but StayColtswold and the owner handle the issue well. We didn’t have any other issues and felt reassured that if we had, they would have been resolved well. We all walked the area and whilst we didn’t want to take time out to make any visit we felt there were plenty of good options available in the area had the weather been bad. Definitely recommend.

What an amazing setting for this property, secure, secluded but with amazing views and walks surrounding it!

The accommodation was exceptional. The decor and facilities were brilliant, and occupied the whole family (4-83 year olds!). Having a bathroom for every bedroom was an added bonus. The younger guests enjoyed the table tennis, football table and the area to play football on. In the evenings we found the tv had games available and they were a hit with everyone!The kitchen/dining area was nice and spacious. We could all still be invluded regardless of if you were cooking/clearing up/sitting down at the table. The only criticism was we were short of a chair to place round the table. We made do by using the bench, but it would have been nice to all be able to sit on the same chairs. The hosts were very quick at responding to any queries. All in all a most enjoyable break. We’re already talking about coming back!

The situation and set up of the property is fabulous. Can’t fault it - it’s modern, open and light with great facilities and decor. Unfortunately for the money we paid the attention to detail and then overall care of the property is below what it should be. Here are some of the things that need addressing: Mould on tiles in showers Walls are heavily marked Curtain hooks missing in some rooms No toiletries provided other than hand soap Mattresses really lumpy and soft Sun loungers are heavily marked and not very clean Outside chairs and tables had to be wiped down before sitting on due to dirt, cobwebs and bird poo Heavy grime in door sills and dusty outside window ledges So whilst the property is lovely, it isn’t really being looked after
