Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Georgetown Lake

It’s location is perfect for stopping on the way out of Denver. Georgetown gets us out of the Denver morning traffic. I also really like the rooms, staff, and breakfast at the Microtel Inn.

The hotel and the room were very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was really good. The staff were very kind and friendly. The breakfast was really good, and for me, there were plenty of food options.

Location was good w exception of noise from I70. Beautiful Georgetown Lake is next to hotel, so we walked around it daily. Cabin Creek Brewery next door was excellent, we took several meals there. Coffee was always good & plentiful, nice to have it & hot beverages available 24/7. Facility was very clean, staff was constantly cleaning. Beds were very comfortable. AC worked well. Step in shower was good. TV worked well.

Breakfast was always crowded, not enough seating. It was mostly a cold breakfast, tiny pancake machine was cute but always a wait for it, and for the microwave. Rooms were small. No luggage racks, so we had to store our suitcases on the window seat & on the ski cabinet. Lighting was weird. Motion activated lighting on one wall was unpredictable, on/off unexpectedly. Plugs for chargers were all crammed onto the bedside table which was not convenient. Our "lake side" room actually overlooked the back side of Cabin Creek Brewery, but if we didn't look down, we had a great view of mountains & lake to the left. IF we return to Georgetown, we would probably seek out an air bnb, unless we were only staying for a night or 2 at the most. Microtel is fine for a short, 1-2 day stay, but longer than that, not so much.
