Houseboat Zaindari Palace

The location a little apart from the main area made it quiet and peaceful. I arrived in unseasonably cold weather made up for by the warmth and friendliness of Imran Zaindairi, the owner. He actually came to the airport himself to meet me to ensure a smooth transfer to the houseboat. On arrival he made me a sandwich and tea. My room was spacious with a large and comfortable bed. Plenty of warm blankets and an electric blanket made it very cosy. The water for the shower was hot and plentiful. Imran cooked for me simple homely dishes which were very tasty and we spent the evenings chatting. He made all arrangements for me from finding a guide for a day to my transfer back to the airport, coordinating shikara and taxi. I cannot praise him enough for his care and the standard of his beautiful houseboat. He is fourth generation of this houseboat business and his knowledge is unsurpassable. I will definitely return.
