Lisa was the perfect host and her place is very clean and well maintained . And it has beautiful ocean views and the area is very quiet.

This was an affordable rental for Topsail Island and in a good location. The view is amazing but just know it's the North side of the island and there is no beach unless there is low tide so don't expect full beach days steps away. We ended up buying a weeks parking pass at the paid parking lots that are abundant down the road. There are public parking lots but they are filled up on the weekends. Come Monday you can get around much better. You have to bring your own linens and towels which I completely missed when I was packing. Had to buy some along the way. That's my fault. We had issues with the touch screen door lock. If you touch anywhere else besides lock, unlock and the numbers it will not open. The host was very responsive and reset it for us. Lastly, there are no elevators and this is on the 3rd floor. Keep this in mind before packing large and heavy suitcases. This could be an issue for some folks. We enjoyed our stay and the kitchen has everything you need to make meals. Our first trip to Topsail and my teenage kids and I loved this trip. Lots to do without the major crowds like other beach areas.

The condo was fine but didn’t care for the area as not much to do outside of spending the days at the beach. If your a beach person, nice beaches.

Owners: 5-star service. They were very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. They made check-in super easy. They were also very responsive when the front door lock failed. It was a new electronic lock from a very reputable company, but the button panel failed so we couldn't open the lock. The owner was able to open the lock remotely via wi-fi so we were only locked out for a couple minutes.The Condo: 3 stars for the condo. It was pleasant enough with plenty of room for a couple or a family with one or two small kids. However, there was a musty odor that we couldn't get rid of and the noise of the two AC units was a bit much after a while. We were grateful for both AC units as they kept the humidity and temp down in a comfortable region. The Beach: 3 stars for the beach. We had seen pictures of the water coming up to the sandbags, but we didn't realize how long the water would be up. On Saturday morning we started out sitting on the beach by the condo at low tide, but the sand was wet, so we decided to walk south to where there was dry beach. In the late afternoon it was high tide, and we decided to head back to the condo. The path to the first set of steps was waist deep in water with waves crashing. We quickly ruled that out and found a way back to the condo using a public access point and the road. I will say, the view from the balcony is breathtaking!Overall: 3 stars. We really wanted to rate it higher but the smell and high tide made it just ok.
