Milazzo23 Guesthouse

We stayed here on Oct.2026 and paid 409 pound for 1 double room and we found the price reasonable for how central the area was and other places near there was charging so much more. We loved our stay here and couldn’t not recommend it more. At first I was unsure of booking because I saw online the termini area might be unsafe and our train to Rome was getting to the termini station almost at midnight so I want to make sure our walk from the station to the guesthouse will be safe. I consulted r/Rome subreddit about the situation and most said it should be fine so went with it. Although we got in super late the area was still alive and there were street lights and restaurants operating and the walk from the station to the guesthouse(~3 mins) was fine, the side walks are cobblestone but it wasn’t hard to roll our luggage on. The number on each building is above the door so we just followed untill we found no.23 and the guesthouse also gave us clear instruction with google map direction to find the right place which we really appreciate because it was night and we didn’t want to have too much trouble finding the place. The guesthouse also gave us instruction on how access the building with pin-codes for the main gate as well as the inside house door two days before our arrival, with request to first pay the local tax through the link they sent us, so once we found the place it was not hard to access it, we just entered the codes and the door unlocked! Once inside the main gate there are maybe ~10 stairs to get to the elevator and then we took the elevator up to the third floor and descended ~5 stairs to get to the floor where the roomsn were. There is another door that needs code as well before we enter the house where there are 3 guest rooms. They left the key on the door of our room for us since we got in super late and there was no one at the front desk. The room was super clean and well kept.

Just one con and that is the room walls are very thin, on our first stay we could hear conversation from next door but it wasn’t too bothering. If you are not used to city vibes then you might find this place jarring at first but we didn’t mind it at all. For example there was a man on the side walk most days, he might be homeless, just talking loudly by himself but didn’t bother anyone. Other than that nothing seemed unsafe. It’s a touristy area as well as near the train station so there is both motor and foot traffic but it wasn’t too chaotic, at least I didn’t find it that way but if you are not from big city you might.

Stayed here twice during our stay in Rome. Great location and short walk to main Rome train station.

No negatives

Very convenient to Roma Termani train station. We had the entire apartment to ourselves and it included a washing machine as well. This place also has air conditioning in both rooms which was very nice and they both worked well. Free breakfast breads were also provided. Management was able to also respond promptly when any issues arose during our stay. Don’t hesitate to book this place.

It’s not a five star hotel but the price can’t be beat!
