Hôtel *** Maraboe

The hotel is located about 12 min walk from the train station and 10 mins to the historical centre. The entrance to the hotel had a lovely feel to it. All the staff were lovely. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Pillows to be used for sleeping are in the wardrobe. The ones on the bed are for show. Breakfast was plentiful. Only serves boiled eggs not scrambled as advertised. Lovely fresh pastries. Many restaurants nearby.

As the room looked out onto a busy traffic tunnel can be noisy. They do supply ear plugs. Walls very thin can hear conversations in other rooms.

Good location, not far from the centre square. Good food near by if you dont want to eat in the main square.. Good size room and helpful friendly staff.

Friendly welcome at check-in, car parking option inside, breakfast can be included, bed was relatively good for a hotel. Everything in city centre is very closeby, you can do it all walking. (10-15minutes to the GroteMarkt.).

The noises (you can hear conversations from your neighbours, we were in room 17 - apparently next to all kinds of machinery outside and the cleaning supply closet across our room. There is a flickering light on the ceiling from the smoke detector, which keeps you from falling asleep. It was also extremely warm in the room, despite having the window open 24-7, with just 9°C in the night/morning. The rubbers on the showerscreen/-door were broken. Breakfast was fine, but extremely simple. It's very tight together when sitting in the breakfast room. Checking out wasn't very social/warm.
