Carpe Diem Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

Very comfortable, well designed huge room. Delicious breakfast served to the table. Friendly efficient staff. The hotel is inside the ancient city, which has masses of remains visible both above and below ground - this hotel along with many other places has perspex panels through which you can see the ancient remains beneath. Beautiful sandy beaches nearby.

Balcony overlooked the restaurant before the sea, though very beautiful mountains in the distance (behind the many massive all inclusive hotels lining the beach on the opposite side of the west bay). The hotel is at the end of the peninsula on the far side of the archaeological site and therefore you are not normally allowed to drive through. However you can drive in to drop off your bags, then you have to drive out and park in the main car park, about a 20 minute walk from the hotel or a short buggy ride. It would be useful if the hotel gave more specific instructions about this - I had to leave my driving license with the security guard on the gate as a guarantee that I would be bringing the car back out again. It's a faff, but worth it to be staying in the archeological area after the day trippers have gone.

A wonderful boutique hotel, I liked everything. Very friendly staff. Excellent location- the hotel is right by the sea, and there are many different restaurants nearby.

Yet again we had a wonderful stay at Carpe Diem this year. The room was beautiful as always 😍

Nothing we didn’t like

Location is central, you can easily walk to the historical remains or other cafe/bars. It is also quite nice to hang out at the lounge area during sunset, which is peaceful and quite. The hotel is right in front of the see and super close to the beach. You can take your breakfast with a sea view.

Because of its location, it was extremely noisy at night, we were unable to sleep and had to leave the hotel after the first night. there is a super close beach nearby, however, if you do not like shallow water you might unlike it. I would prefer to swim in the sea, not to walk. None of them is hotel´s fault, but if you are a person who do not prefer loud music noise until 3am, I do not recommend this hotel.
