Hôtel Massé

Decor of the hotel was pretty perfect. The old building, absolutely stunning. Very chic vibes. Lobby area was small but stunning. I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel on my last morning and wished I'd eaten there sooner. It was small but perfect and the server was super polite and welcoming. The area of the hotel is also perfect, so much to do! And so close in walking-distance to other areas. The metro is mere moments from the hotel. I had booked the single room so when I got to my room was surprised with a little upgrade, or so I thought, as there was a double bed and a balcony! I was elated. It was still a small room so when I book again I will opt for a bigger one. But honestly, cannot wait to return.

Travelling on my own, on one of the nights, I didn't want to retire to my room just yet so I got my book and went and sat in the relaxing area downstairs. I was a little disappointed that there was only water to drink, but I didn't fancy the bustle of the restaurant. About 20 minutes in, a couple wandered in from the restaurant and asked if I could move whilst they take photos. I left my things, but moved 'out of shot'. Where they proceeded to have a photoshoot for ten minutes. It was so awkward. Not how I wanted to feel. Turns out they weren't even staying at the hotel.

The most beautifully curated hotel in an ideal location in Paris - the staff were so kind and helpful and every detail of the rooms and hotel so considered. Can’t wait to return! highly recommend :)

Massé is beautifully curated, the furnishings, the textures, the amenities but the service really lets them down.

We booked their highest deluxe room and they gave us a different room to what was advertised that looked nothing like the photos listed or what was in our booking confirmation. They later told us they had two deluxe rooms and we needed to select that other one (one room wasn’t even photographed and had a different bathroom and no bathtub). We came to an agreement with management but it ruined the end of our holiday. Service can also be slow and forgetful, you’ll have to ask for things twice or be used to inconsistency. Staff always seem a little flustered even with such a small amount of rooms.
