Holiday Inn & Suites Sanya Yalong Bay by IHG

Location , breakfast , sea!

No AC in reception

Large rooms, large beds and bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Plenty of facilities like the washrooms. Sharing of facilities/activities with hualuxe hotel. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

I thought English would have been one of the main languages that staff spoke for an internationally branded hotel. Instead it was only mandarin and Russian. Some of the rooms had mould. Darts and fuse ball table were broken. Signage/directions to various rooms or restaurants are unclear, especially in hualuxe.

The location is fantastic, beach just across the road, beach bars and street food close, the sea activity center just 5 minutes walking... The Hotel restaurant is quite good, variety of food served is not huge, but the quality is remarkable, and you have from fine seafood to best of the meats, passing by a variety of greens and fruits, and a few types of cocktails are included if you pick the Dinner option included. The staff is very helpful, even though almost anyone there speaks English, but they always try their best to keep the communication effective. In general, coming from Australia, the service standards and food quality offered were miles away better from what I am used to.

Maybe the fact that communication for non Chinese/Russian speakers is a little difficult.

Room is clean and comfortable.
