Friendly and helpful staff, great location, and a comfortable room with good facilities.

It was very cheap and so my expectations were low. The rooms were tired and a bit dated, but they were clean and had everything I needed. The beds were a bit soft but okay. There was a good TV, kettle with tea, coffee, hot choc etc. The water pressure was excellent and the shower was really hot. Bathroom was again dated and needed a refresh but was very clean. Hairdryer was one of the best I've used in any hotel! The value for money was exceptional. Reception was great, staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. Nice beers on tap and a decent selection of drinks. Food was cheap though I didn't eat there. I just couldn't fault the place. Location was good too, only a 2 min walk to the train station and free parking. Not sure what else was around. It was brilliant for the price and I would definitely stay again.

Nothing for the price paid

My mum was greeted with friendly kind staff who helped her with her bags and made her a cuppa. She had had a long and difficult journey and was tired. She was early but the room was ready. I cant thank them enough for the kindness they showed her. She had a restful night and quiet night. It was near the train station.
