Wish they had waffles for breakfast

Such an old cool hotel looking like a castle; too bad it was being renovated on the outside but some of the scaffolding was removed on our second night. Very helpful staff at the front desk; great walking location into town…had a wonderful driver into the Glenfinnan Viaduct area to see the Harry Potter train pass! Was wonderful and his ability to drive us there and take us around made our day! Great and complete breakfast each day helped us start our adventures on the right foot.

Be prepared for stairs in case that’s an issue for you but the place had a lot of character

Theres no atmosphere or hospitality has a cold clinical feel to the place. In the bar area sparse and un inviting. Breakfast is not the best quality produce for the cost. The Continental food is set up in an alcove which get crowded which results in banging into other guests and the tables are too close together to be able to pass through. There was scaffolding up outside the hotel and works being completed from early morning until late, this was not advised but we were notified after booking.
