Avana Retreat

The resort itself is beyond stunning. Beautiful buildings, interiors and landscaping made for an unforgettable, luxury getaway. The attention to detail and the genuine level of care for every guest is second to none e.g. handwritten welcome card signed by all the staff or candles lit as part of the turn down room service. We LOVED our massages and a private walking tour with our lovely guide Chang. Also, loved that there was no TV in the villa (I think there's absolutely no need for it on holiday, especially in such a stunning spot in the nature). Exceptional hospitality at every step. Would 100% return and recommend to others.

Exceptional location, amenities and staff. This is an amazing place to come and relax while faking in the beautiful view of the mountain range. Probably the best stay we ever had.

It is quite remote so don’t plan to go outside for lunch or dinner. The in-house restaurants are great so that should not be a problem.

From the minute we arrived it was very relaxing - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the service was excellent. Our lodge was very spacious, very true to the photographs, and each lodge is very private, being set apart from each other in the forest. We loved the network of paths taking us to the viewpoint (must do), waterfalls and lagoon. The pool area was relaxing and well maintained and was abuzz with guests from 4pm ish having returned from excursions. The views are phenomenal. The food was very good, but I wouldn’t say exceptional. Alcohol was very good value with a wide selection of wines. Make sure you have a massage treatment - probably the best all round experience.

Everything - it was unbelievable. Yoga in the morning in the Hmong Cottage overlooking the mountains, the batik and candle making classes, all of the food, the buggy service and the most magical pool ever with amazing cocktails!
