Hotel Franceschi

Our stay at Hotel Franceschi was lovely, and what we appreciated most was the hotel's intimate, residential atmosphere. The property has a beautiful sense of character, with elegant interiors, thoughtful details, and inviting common spaces that make you want to slow down and enjoy your surroundings. Breakfast on the rooftop was a highlight of our stay. The setting was beautiful, and the servers were genuinely warm and attentive, even remembering our coffee orders each morning. Those small gestures made the experience feel personal and special. We also loved spending time in the hotel's common areas, whether enjoying aperitivo on the veranda, having tea in the evenings, or simply relaxing in the lobby while browsing the wonderful collection of art books. It was refreshing to stay somewhere where the shared spaces felt like an extension of our room rather than just places to pass through. There is a timeless charm to the property, with a relaxed elegance that feels perfectly suited to Forte dei Marmi. We particularly appreciated the slower pace and the opportunity to enjoy the hotel itself, rather than treating it simply as a place to sleep. At its best, Hotel Franceschi captures the feeling of staying in a beautiful private home, with the comfort and hospitality of a boutique hotel. It's that sense of intimacy and understated elegance that made our stay memorable.

On two occasions, we also saw the hotel owner on the property. One day, she was working with the gardeners and rearranging plants, and the following day, she was overseeing a photoshoot. On neither occasion did she acknowledge us or take a moment to say hello. While we certainly didn't expect personal attention, a simple greeting would have made a difference. Instead, these interactions made us feel more like intruders in someone's private home than welcomed guests.
